Interested in online dating but have no idea which site to use? Here’s a quick comparison of Plenty of Fish, eHarmony, and Lavalife from mojo.com.
One of the biggest advantages of POF, of course, is that it’s free. Though the site is very basic, it boasts over 1,000,000 fairly active members and a nice, advanced search function.
Mojo.com says that Lavalife is one of the best. With over 5,000,000 members to choose from, you can search to see who’s there before signing up. The downside, of course, is that it is a pay site although credits don’t expire and the fees aren’t monthly. Lavalife also features on-line chat.
According to mojo.com, eHarmony is the most expensive online dating site on the web though some think this weeds out those not serious about a long term relationship. There is no search feature; instead matches are sent to you. The initial question is extensive, daunting and time consuming. What’s not mentioned in the video is that, though eHarmony says only 20% of people are rejected, you’ll find that many people you talk to, including yours truly, have been rejected. Personally, I’d rather stay single than join eHarmony but that’s just me.

I’ve used Plenty Of Fish before. I’ve gotten a few dates from there but because it’s a free site I don’t think it has the number of serious men looking for serious relationships that I’d like.
