When my last marriage ended, things were a little rocky financially. Assclown gave us a week to find a place to live and things were a little tight. Now, remember, we’re talking almost 6 years ago, so gold prices weren’t near what they are today. I had little choice but to sell my rings. Living in Map Dot, there aren’t a lot of options. I think at that time there were 2 pawn shops. I got a whopping $60 for my very expensive set. Disheartening to say the least.
Today, if the engagement or marriage doesn’t work out, there are other options. And, for the bargain shopper wanting to purchase a nice engagement ring for his love in this economy, there are options too. Enter I Did Now I Don’t.com started by Josh Opperman after he tried selling the engagement ring after his engagement was broken off.
Both the broken hearted and the madly in love can now buy and sell their engagement rings. Those shopping for an engagement ring on a budget can help out someone looking to liquidate theirs after the fairy tale ends.
I’m thinking I’d have gotten a lot more than $60 for my set. Your thoughts?

A ring doesn’t have a lot of gold in it, and diamonds are artificially overvalued and almost always sell for a pittance compared to what was paid for them new.
Jake’s going to get me a CZ for that very reason. That and the diamond industry is evil
