I Know Who I Am. Do You Know Who You are?
I know who I am. Do you know who you are?
I’m the girl who has walked through the fire and has been burned but wouldn’t trade the pain for all she’s learned. Who has made mistakes but through them has learned to be brave, to be strong and to grow. I’m the girl whose mistakes have been made because she was vulnerable and not afraid to put herself out there. The girl who wouldn’t be who she is today without her past.
I’m the girl who has learned to be strong, confident, and resourceful. Who can do damn near anything. I’m the girl who isn’t afraid to take risks and who knows that best things in life come to those who are willing to go after them.
I’m the girl who can be quiet and introspective and thoughtful one day and full of life and fire and energy the next. The girl who isn’t afraid of silence. Who loves to play and laugh. I’m the girl who will look into your eyes with a quiet tenderness and who will rock your world when you take her in your arms.
I’m the girl who will bring life and light and laughter to your life. The girl who will be richer for knowing you. Who will appreciate you for who you are. I’m the girl who will love you enough to be honest with you even when you may not want her to be.
I’m the girl who knows that love is a gift and that, in order to receive it, she must first love herself. A girl who knows now that she deserves love and is worthy of it. Whose journey has been one of self discovery and healing. I’m the girl who loves herself and who knows that what she has to give is the love of a lifetime.

Great post. Although I have been on a journey of self discovery and healing, I sure do still have a long way to go. I know what I need to do, I just sometimes have a hard time sticking to it.

Well after reading Eckhart Tolle and going on a spiritual journey myself … I don’t think any of what we do, or say, or look like, defines us as who we are.
I think people go through their whole lives searching for who they are. And then life really begins when we realize that we don’t need to have more, do more and be more to become a better person, to be completely fulfilled.
The car, the looks, that swanky job .. all of it doesn’t last.
Yes they are all part of life experiences but at the end of the day … who you are … is the person that has been able to witness all of it.
