I thought the book was a quick read and a good laugh because I enjoy advice columns, but to turn it into a movie is a monotnous experience that's masochistic. For some reason it's not as fun to watch it. I haven't seen it, but to get transfer the dry caustic tone Berhedt has into a movie would seem impossible -- it'd lose it's humor. And it seems like all of the women are just obsessed with guys, sex and marriage -- those types of chicks seem to be a bore. I may watch this when it comes on Lifetime or something. I won't waste my money on it. I do think that as obvious as the simple truths are, many MEN and WOMEN both mess them up royally. I've seen many of my friends acting just as stupid as the characters in the movie.
