According to an AARP (yes, i DO know how scary that is),
Daters in their 40s are most likely to…
Have a high level of stress
Say other people’s excess baggage is a big dating annoyance
Have partners of the same sex, if they’re women (5 percent vs. 2 percent in the 50s, and 2 percent in the 60s)
Have sex more than any other group (26 percent of fortysomethings have sex at least once a week)
Please allow me to address this point by point:
1. Uumm, nope not this girl…now, i realize i may an exception to this rule, but that is simply because those women who are stressed haven’t yet figured some things out…for example, many of them still think they are dependent on a man to make them happy and to provide for them…
2. well, you know when you are dating in your 40s, you have baggage…period…how you handle that baggage is the issue…the key is to acknowledge it, accept responsibility for it, and then put it where it belongs; behind you…again, i realize not everyone has come to this realization yet…some likely never will…for them baggage will be an issue both for them and the people they date…
3. now this one i just find interesting…i mean, i’ve had this conversation with my nail tech/shrink…we’ve discussed the benefits…doubled wardrobe size, no ummm sexual ummm tutoring is necessary, etc. etc…what it really comes down to is people, not gender…who you are, who you relate to, how you relate to each other…those are the important things…
4.well, shit…i really am doing something wrong…

i know cap, i know…it cracked me up when i read it…absolutely had to post it…and i’m with you…it just doesn’t fit…sheesh!
